Why is Glacier Bancorp acquiring Bank of Idaho Holding Company?
Bank of Idaho one of the fastest growing banks in the western United States and partnering with Glacier Bancorp allows us to continue growing and serving our communities. Glacier is a great fit given their focus on buying good banks in good markets with good people. They have a strong business model and combining our footprint with three different divisions of Glacier Bank creates a powerful force across Idaho and Eastern Washington. Glacier is a premier acquirer and has a stellar track record of making acquisitions and continuing to build in those markets.
What are the benefits of the acquisition?
Glacier’s community banking business model and culture are a great fit our customers and employees. They focus on local decision-making and building up our communities, because it’s where we all live and work. But we still get to tap into the added resources of a much larger banking family.
Banking with a larger community bank means our customers can access a wider range of products and services, plus higher lending limits, all while enjoying the personal touch and local commitment they value. It’s really the best of both worlds.
When will the acquisition be complete?
We expect the acquisition will close in the 2nd quarter pending approval by banking regulators and satisfaction of other closing conditions. The systems conversion is currently planned for later in the year.
What will change for customers?
There will be no immediate changes. Bank of Idaho customers will continue using their existing checks, credit and debit cards, and online and mobile banking services. The terms and conditions of your loans and lines of credit will remain the same. Any changes will be communicated with generous advance notice. Becoming part of Glacier will ultimately provide you access to an expanded suite of products, services, and tools. We believe you will be happy with the transition.
